Audio Buddy from M-Audio
I think it'd be really cool as a summer project to record music with my dad and sister. He loves the guitar, and June can play the viola and piano. I can't play anything but I can sing okay. One time last summer my dad couldn't get the tune of "Redemption Song" right so I went into his office and sang it to help him out; then June came up to see what we were doing and we all just broke into song. We had a rendition of what we called "Hey June," and it was really fun. One of those moments I love and wish we had more of.

Fieldwork
This is a book I bought yesterday. It's sort of about an anthropologist, which is what I was thinking about being, and then decided maybe I won't. If I get to have books written about me along with other adventures in Thailand, then maybe I will again, if the CIA secret agent thing doesn't work out. Lofty dreams I guess. I think what turned me off of anthropology the most was the objectiveness and sterility that it requires. I don't know if I could do that. Also you have to write a lot of ethnographies.
But also look at the design of this cover. The original cover is boring. There are a bunch of trees and greenery, and the word "fieldwork" splayed out in handwriting across the front like that in white. That's all. How boring. I love this one, the notebook, the careful typing, the tallies, the dirt, the flower ... I really love the combination of nature/civilization like that.

Sticks & Stones
Listen to the guitar in the background. I like the folksy/modern aggression of this, but it seems a little foreign to me too. Gypsy or something. The video is pretty weird and I can't say I approve of it but I like the song, especially the lyrics hey domino/i am stopping you from falling and all that part.
I'm the one you want.

Recycled Paper Vase
Check out how colorful/subtle this vase is. I could probably make this if I tried hard enough, no?
